Riza Stan

     “I am neither a genius nor a superstar, but I am indeed a genuine person who can be a friend to all and can lend a hand to anyone within my capacity”.“ –RStan 2020,

     I am a person that wore many hats and has plenty of tricks up my sleeves but on a serious thought I am a Supermom and fully Registered Nurse for the UK, USA and the Philippines with more than 10 years’ experience in Medical-Surgical, Geriatric, Acute Medicine and Emergency Nursing. Currently based in the UK and working for East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust-Lister Hospital as a Team Leader for Accidents and Emergency.

     Started my nursing career journey in Cagayan de Oro as medical nurse for the Polymedic Group of Hospitals –Tagoloan Branch. By 2009 I manage to get deployed to the UK and finished the Overseas Nursing Programme (ONP) at University of Bedfordshire and have done my preceptorship and mentorship training at Bedfordshire Hospitals formerly known as Luton and Dunstable University Hospital. During my stay at the L&D Hospital I also doing private care nursing for the COBHAM Clinic and was also involved in launching campaigns for the Tissue Viability Team as champion nurse and committee member.  

     In my current role as a Nurse Team Leader for Ambulatory Care and Emergency Department I am have been doing planning, coordinating and reorganization of Emergency Care services in preparation of  setting up for a new Same Day Emergency Services Department for East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As of these times I am also involve in campaigning for better platforms for Filipino nurses here in the UK thru my involvement with  PNA-UK (Philippine Nursing Association-UK)as a core interim committee member,    a charity organization that involve in moulding future Filipino Nursing leaders here in the UK. I am also affiliated with Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority network since I do believe that equal rights and treatment for all health care workers here in the UK are of at most importance.
